Earlier this month, Vietnamese-French artist Suby One showcased his latest exhibition, Time, at the Museum of Fine Arts. The 10-day display was a combination of abstract art, graffiti and several installation pieces.
While Suby's artwork certainly stands up against other contemporary work in Vietnam, the process of setting up the exhibition was rather unorthodox: instead of large vehicles and expensive equpiment, the artist and his friends enlist the services of xe chở hàng – wide, motorbike-driven truck beds – and construct much of the artwork onsite.
