Yes, we know that Vietnam’s 3G speeds are incredibly low (2G ½?) but how does the country’s internet speed compare to other ASEAN nations? According to a new infographic created by ASEAN DNA, slightly better than average, based on data collected between March and May 2014.
Sitting right in the middle of the spectrum, Vietnam’s average internet speed was measured at 13.1 Mbps, ahead of the region’s average (12.4 Mbps). The Philippines ranked last at 3.5Mbps while Singapore led the way with 61Mbps(!).
While based on an average, we’d really like to know who’s getting 13.1Mbps in Vietnam since we’ve rarely crossed the 1Mbps threshold.
