Report: Vietnam has Reached 25 Million Facebook Users

A market research study from Epinion, a Danish marketing agency, has found that 25 million of Vietnam’s 36 million internet users have Facebook accounts, reports VietNamNet.

The social media site has seen incredible growth in Vietnam over the last few years with the number of users doubling annually, according to Tran Lien Phuong, research director at Epinion Vietnam.

The company conducted interviews with 1,000 Vietnamese over 18 years old, 97% of which said that they use Facebook to contact friends and relatives, share experiences and market products/services (dude, you would look great in this dress).

"According to the survey, the social network is the most favorite channel for people to share information (78%), followed by email (44%) and free messaging applications like Viber, Skype and Zalo (21%)," wrote VietNamNet.
