Some Vietnamese spend months of their salary on iPhones and iPads for a lift in status. But some go a step further, paying more than the value of the actual product to have it dipped in gold.

Vietnamese jewelry shop, Karalux is now offering up 24k gold plated iPad Air 2s at their Hanoi and HCMC locations for VND25 million, or an extra VND14 million. You can also give your iPhone a similar treatment for the same fee.

While it seems way over the top and a waste of money (wouldn’t you look even more baller using 2 iPads at the same time?), we won’t judge. OK, maybe a little.
