While road trips have become an extremely popular activity for foreigners living in or visiting Vietnam in recent years, it was also a common activity for these demographics in the period preceding the French and Americans wars.

Nowadays, many Vietnam road trips are captured with time lapses made with expensive DSLRs and first person videos shot with GoPros. However, in 1945 one presumably native English speaker (given the language’s use on the introduction) toted his 16mm hand-held film camera on his “motor trip” from Saigon to Dalat, Quinhon and Hue.
