Respected Chef, Shane Brierly Killed In Road Accident

Longtime Vietnam expat chef, Shane Brierly, died last Thursday night in a traffic accident on Phu Quoc Island, shocking many of his friends, Twitter followers and those who knew him as a first-rate chef, and above all, a selfless person.

Chris Galvin Nguyen recently published a wonderful post memorializing Brierly, who had been the executive chef at Da Nang’s Lifestyle resort and until his accident, the Salinda on Phu Quoc.

His generosity and humor gained him many friends across the world and those in Saigon will hold a memorial for him tonight at Vesper Gourmet Lounge, 5B Ton Duc Thang, starting at 7:00pm.

Anyone wishing to give Brierly a sendoff is welcome to attend.
