Brace yourselves: Vietnam is getting a Six Flags.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Saigon-based NaVi Entertainment is in the midst of finalizing a site for its forthcoming amusement park, which will take the name and branding of Six Flags, a well-known American amusement park chain, as well as Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
Once complete, the complex – whose location is rumored to be near Saigon – will house both an amusement park and a water park. This is one of three Six Flags licensing agreements outside of North America, along with pending parks in China and Dubai.
NaVi's Six Flags park is expected to open within the next three to four years. Six Flags itself will not be putting down any money for the construction of the park but will receive a fee from its brand's usage.
Though the terms of Six Flags' agreement with NaVi have not been disclosed, the latter company expressed its enthusiasm about the project in a press release on Monday.
“We are delighted to bring the Six Flags brand to Vietnam through the development of these two parks, and confident we can offer guests unique and thrilling experiences like no other in the country,” said Tin Nguyen, chairman of NaVi Entertainment.
