To inaugurate the launch of UberCHOPPER, Uber’s new helicopter service in Vietnam, the company is giving away flights to a few of its Da Nang users this weekend.
Seemingly overcoming the diversity it faced after launching in Saigon and Hanoi, Uber recently rolled out a number of new services in Vietnam, including UberCHOPPER.
According to the company’s website:
“We’re taking lucky riders on a free helicopter flight on 15 August 2015 (weather permitting) high in the skies to experience Da Nang like never before. Your UberCHOPPER adventure will start with a pick-up by Mercedes-Benz where you will be escorted to the beautiful Fusion Maia Resort, where our lucky winners will enjoy high-tea before taking off on 15-minute bird’s eye view of the city.”
“All you have to do to score an UberCHOPPER flight is open your Uber app, select the UberCHOPPER option at the bottom of the screen and hit request. If you’re one of the lucky winners, you will receive a confirmation within a few seconds. Once you receive the confirmation, a luxurious Mercedes Benz will pick you up and whisk you off on your UberCHOPPER adventure.”
The winners can bring a +1 along with them on the 2-hour journey. Unfortunately for expats, the promotion is only valid for Vietnamese nationals.
When/if it launches in Saigon, UberCHOPPER may be our best shot at seeing a helicopter land on the Bitexco Tower’s helipad.
Plus, Arnold would approve.
