The new STC2 trains will depart from Saigon at 10:25pm, arriving in Phan Rang-Thap Cham by 5:40am the following morning, reports Thanh Nien. In the other direction, trains will pull away from the Ninh Thuan station at 12:50pm and return to Saigon by 7:15pm.
Though it's not quite as popular as its northern and southern neighbors – Nha Trang and Mui Ne, respectively – Phan Rang-Thap Cham is home to a beautiful and far less touristed stretch of beach as well as several ancient Cham towers and one of the best renditions of bánh xèo Vietnam has to offer.
Saigon Railways is providing a 50 percent discount on the ticket price for those traveling on the first two days of the new service.
