Apart from shopping malls and the odd food court, there are not many dedicated spaces in Saigon for the city’s younger residents to hang out.

In May last year, young Saigoneers were heartbroken to learn of the closure of 3A Station, one of the metropolis’ few zones established to cater to teens and young adults.

On November 19 last year, Saigon saw the opening of Zone 87, a new hangout spot seeking to satisfy Saigoneers’ basic needs: eating, shopping, and taking Instagram photos. The place is just a stone’s throw from the iconic 42 Nguyen Hue, on a 100-square-meter plot, featuring 30 boutiques and 30 food vendors.
