Now there are two official Leica boutiques in Vietnam.

According to a post on tech forum Tinh Te, renowned German camera brand Leica Camera launched its first flagship boutique in Saigon last Friday, May 25. The brand-new store is located at the first floor of the Deutsches Haus building at 33 Le Duan Street in District 1. The building also houses the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany on the 6th floor.

The Leica Boutique Saigon will carry the full range of the company’s products, as well as host photography workshops under Leica Akademie. Leica also established a designated exhibition area for its Leica Galerie. With the launch of the boutique, the brand presented a special photography exhibition titled The Stranger by Vietnamese photographer Le Tuan Anh, who’s better known by his nickname Tuan.fr.

Among the guests of the event was famed photographer Nick Ut, whose ‘Napalm Girl’ photo won the Pulitzer Prize in 1973 and who eventually became the third person inducted by the Leica Hall of Fame.

Late last year, fans of the camera brand in Hanoi were overjoyed to witness the opening of Leica’s first-ever store in Vietnam at 14 Ngo Quyen Street in November.
