A Phuong Trang (FUTA) bus crashed this morning on District 11's Cay Go overpass, injuring eight motorists after it crossed the median barrier and drove into oncoming traffic.

Seven motorbikes were crushed against the outer barrier of the overpass as a result of the crash, reports Thanh Nien. Earlier this morning, Thanh Nien reported that a female victim fell roughly four to five meters from the overpass, however Lao Dong later named the injured victim, a man called Pham Ngoc Sang.
Including Sang, four of the eight victims sustained serious injuries, including broken bones and head trauma. The remaining four have all been treated and released from hospital at this time.
In the aftermath of the crash, the Phuong Trang driver fled the scene, however he later turned himself in to local authorities.
