Ahead of the forthcoming blockbuster Kong: Skull Island, a local travel company is capitalizing on Vietnam's prominent role in the movie by introducing a luxury tour of its filming locations.
Exotic Voyages, a high-end tour operator, is now offering a 10-day tour of Kong: Skull Island's Vietnamese filming locations, which include Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay and Quang Binh's Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The movie, which is set to premiere in Vietnam on March 10 and stars Tom Hiddleston alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson and John Goodman, uses both the country's natural scenery and the American War era to tell the origin story of King Kong, one of Hollywood's most famous fictional characters.
According to the firm's website, the Kong: Skull Island tour will bring movie-loving travelers to Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh and Ha Long Bay before ending in Saigon. Perks of the tour include a private seaplane trip above Ha Long Bay, not unlike the vantage point shown in the film's trailer, as well as a boat ride through Ninh Binh's Van Long Nature Reserve and a trip to the Phong Nha caves. Prices for the trip start from US$2,055 per person.
