We know that standards of beauty differ from country to country, but we never would have imagined that they fluctuated this much.
To put said standards to the test, blogger, Esther Honig, sent a photo of herself to 40 photo editors in over 25 countries to be photoshopped for her project Before and After.
While photographers from some countries like Vietnam opted for subtle retouching, others (we’re looking at you, Argentina and Chile) added fake jewelry and went all out with their digital makeup kits.
"...Each one is a reflection of both the personal and cultural concepts of beauty that pertain to their creator," Honig wrote on her blog.
