The age of the fixie may have dawned on Saigon but another bicycle fad is becoming increasingly popular in the city – BMX.
BMX bikes first appeared in the 1970s and drew inspiration from motocross. Over time, they have become popular with other groups of rides and today, BMX Freestyle was created by racers who enjoyed pushing the stylistic limits of what they could do on their bikes.
Given Saigon’s bike culture, it’s no surprise that these trick bikes have gained popularity as the country has modernized and become increasingly influenced by Western trends.
