British design firm, Foster and Partners recently released renderings for Thu Thiem’s financial center and they’re well, dreamy?

Obviously, there’s still a long way to go before any of these renderings become a reality, but clearly the goal is to create an urban center that would rival the likes of Singapore and Bangkok.

There have been plans to redevelop the area, which covers more than 426 hectares, into a cultural sport and tourism center as far back as in 1992 in its current form (there were plans for a similar project in the early 1970s that fell through for obvious reasons).
