[Video] 11 Injured After Car Crashes Into Crowd at Tan Son Nhat

Last night at 7:15pm, a black Audi A8L crashed into a crowd in front of the international terminal at Tan Son Nhat Airport, injuring at least 11 and damaging nearby cars and billboards.

According to VN Express, the accident occurred when Driver Nguyen Duy Ta was attempting to park in the terminal’s pickup area. However, Ta said that he mistook the accelerator for the brake pedal.

The vehicle crashed into two cars and billboards before hopping the curb and driving onto the crowded pavement.

Witnesses said that the driver was picking up famous Vietnamese singer, Ho Ngoc Ha, who reportedly visited victims, five of whom are in critical condition, in the hospital following the accident.

Police rejected earlier assumptions that Ta was drunk at the time of the incident and are investigating the case.
