Vietnamese Company Launches Hanoi – Ha Long Bay Seaplane Service

The flights would take off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and land on either the Saigon River or in Can Gio, according to Tuoi Tre.

Last year, the aviation company launched their seaplane service in Hanoi allowing tourists to explore nearby Ha Long Bay from the air, in addition to a route between Saigon and Phan Thiet.

Saigon is looking to offer tourists more reasons to extend their visits to the city as most stays are only 3 days, according to The Saigon Times Online, citing a lack of places of interest when compared to other localities in the region.

It’s unclear how close to Saigon’s city center the planes would fly given the tight airspace restrictions.
