For the second time in two years, Pham Ngu Lao hotspot, The Crazy Buffalo, saw its neon sign go up in flames.
At 4pm yesterday afternoon, passersby warned the restaurant that smoke was rising from their large neon sign.
Within a few minutes, it had burst into flames and four fire trucks were deployed to the scene. The fire was quickly put out though the crowds of onlookers caused lengthy traffic jams in the backpacker area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Perhaps the restaurant should look to more traditional signage...
