Photographer Gian Thanh Son is completing a book and preparing a special exhibition, "Discovering Saigon from the air."
With the help of special forces helicopter Regiment 917 (Air Division 370), Son was able to capture his home city from the air, a dream of his for many years:
"My biggest goal is to help people to see where they live from a bird’s eye view...And more importantly, I want people to see the changes to the city after 300 years. I don’t think many people know what Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market, or Dien Bien Phu look like from the air.”
