It's Official: H&M to Launch Saigon Flagship Store This September

Fast-fashion fans rejoice: Saigon’s first H&M store has revealed its official launch date.

According to Zing, Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) has confirmed its first flagship outlet in Vietnam will open to customers at 11am on Saturday, September 9. The two-story store is located in District 1’s Vincom Center and spans 2,200 square meters.

Saigoneers who frequent the neighborhood might have noticed that the department store has put up banners and posters about the opening event. A representative of the brand told the news source its Vincom outlet will be open from 9:30am to 10pm daily.

Rumors about the Nordic fast-fashion brand’s arrival in Vietnam began last year. However, the brand only confirmed its expansion into Vietnam this June.

Once the first outlet is open, Vietnam will be H&M’s 68th market and fifth new market this year, along with Iceland, Colombia, Kazakhstan and Georgia.

To prepare for the opening, H&M’s official website has also been updated with a Vietnamese option and local pricing in Vietnam dong.

As Kenh14 reports, the Swedish brand will bring to Vietnam its latest H&M Studio collection for Autumn-Winter 2017, which was released in July, as well as other international collections such as The Weeknd’s Selection and ERDEM x H&M.

Moreover, it looks like Saigon’s Vincom Center will bear witness to this year’s bloodiest battle of the brands as Pull&Bear, Stradivarious and Massimo Dutti will also launch their first outlets in the department store on September 1.
