[Photos] Cars Crushed by Trees in Yesterday’s Storm

Yesterday’s downpour not only caused massive flooding in Saigon but also managed to destroy 4 cars in the heart of District 1.

The heavy rains were accompanied by strong winds which knocked down some large, old trees at the corner of Le Loi and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Streets at approximately 4:30pm.

While the trunk and branches crushed 4 cars, some with people in them, nobody was seriously injured, reports VNExpress.

Local police were dispatched to direct traffic which was halted as the trunk was blocking the intersection.

By 6pm, the tree had been removed.

Yet another reminder to be careful during rainstorms.
