[Video] Tornado Tears Roofs Off Homes In District 7

When you think of inclement weather in Saigon, tornados are about the last thing that comes to mind. But residents of District 7’s Tan Thuan Tay Ward may want to add some extra nails to their roofs after a small tornado ripped through their neighborhood yesterday.

The twister made its way along Nguyen Van Linh Street, removing the roofs from nearby houses and halting traffic, a local resident, Tran Huu Luat, told Tuoi Tre.

Luat told the paper that another tornado had touched down in the same area earlier this month but didn’t cause any serious damage.
