These District 1 Streets Will Close Over Tet Holiday

In preparation for Saigon's annual flower street, which will return to Nguyen Hue this year, city officials are closing off a series of District 1 streets.

According to Thanh Nien, Nguyen Hue will be closed from 6pm on February 5 to 10pm on February 12, as will Le Loi Street between Pasteur and Dong Khoi. Additional street closures include sections of Nguyen Thiep, Ton That Thiep, Huynh Thuc Khang, Mac Thi Buoi, Ngo Duc Ke and Hai Trieu Streets.

Preparations for the floral festivities began last Thursday and are expected to take up to 16 days to complete. There will also be an additional flower street in District 7's Phu My Hung.
