[Video] Young Engineers Push Hanoi's Tech Startup Scene

While cities like Singapore have dedicated a great deal of money toward incubating its tech startup scene, some enterprising young Hanoians have began to lay the foundations without any outside funding.

The group of engineers, who call themselves “Moonwalkers”, spend their days in a 10-square-meter, fourth-floor room that is full of gadgets like binary clocks and a homemade 3D printer, all overseen by an ancestral altar, reports Forbes.

Their projects are meant to help people; their latest is a lamp controlled by a mobile app that helps insomniacs rest better by identifying environmental variables that may be affecting their sleep cycles.
