Last month, 19 intrepid cyclists rode nearly 2,000 kilometers from Hanoi to Saigon, all in the name of charity.
The 9th Hanoi-to-Ho Chi Minh City (H2H) ride ended at the Saigon Post Office on April 27, the conclusion of a nearly month-long journey down the spine of Vietnam.
Every year the ride is organized to raise money for five charities that work to help disadvantaged children within Vietnam: Saigon Children's Charity, Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, the ILA Community Network, KOTO and Live and Give.
Prior to the most recent ride, H2H had raised nearly US$300,000, and this year's team just passed US$40,000 in online fundraising, in addition to nearly US$10,000 raised offline. Donations are still being accepted via JustGiving through the end of this month.
