In yet another effort to ease traffic congestion in the southern hub, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has proposed the construction of a VND280-billion (US$12.3 million) elevated road over Dan Chu Roundabout.
According to Zing, the 268-meter-long structure would run from Vo Thi Sau to Ba Thang Hai Street, connecting Districts 3 and 10. The overpass will support both motorbikes and cars.
This project is part of the city’s 2016-2020 public investment budget. If approved by the central government, it could be launched and finished within this year.
Zing also reports that heavy traffic congestion occurs every day from 6am to 8pm at this critical junction.
